Berg Ten Houte – RVV
Beschrijving
Berg ten Houte is a slope in the Flemish Ardennes on the border of Schorisse and Ronse. The asphalt ramp was repaved in cobblestones in 2018 due to its poor condition. Berg ten Houte has been included in the Tour of Flanders 12 times (1982-1990, 2021-2023). The slope was always climbed between Taaienberg and Kouterberg from 1982 to 1990, followed by Eikenberg. Incidentally, Kouterberg was not officially mentioned in the race book until 1990. In 2021, Berg ten Houte will be the 10th slope between Valkenberg and Kanarieberg. Berg ten Houte has also been included in the E3 Harelbeke on occasion, most recently in 2013. From 2019, the slope – now executed in cobblestones – will be included in Dwars door Vlaanderen. In 2022 she will be included for the first time in Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne, in 2023 and 2024 she is again included in the course of this race. In 2023, a bench was set up with inscription Sit and have a rest on my favorite climb in honor of Allan Peiper, who lives in Maarkedal.[.
