Oude Kwaremont – RVV
Beschrijving
The Oude Kwaremont is a slope in the Belgian municipality of Kluisbergen. The climb goes through the village of Kwaremont, which also explains the name of the slope. West of the top of the Kwaremont lies the Knokteberg, east of it the higher Hotondberg.
The Oude Kwaremont is best known for the cycling race the Tour of Flanders. On the course until 2011, the Oude Kwaremont was one of the first slopes on the course and was therefore not usually a focal point in the race. From 2012, on the other hand, the Oude Kwaremont appears several times in the final of the race and is the second-to-last slope to be climbed. Wikipedia
