Beschrijving

The Forest of Wallers-Arenberg is a forest in northern France. The forest is notorious for the passage of the Paris-Roubaix cycling race over a cobbled section. In 1968, French cyclist Jean Stablinski recommended this cobbled section in the commune of Wallers to Paris-Roubaix organizers when they were looking for new cobblestone lanes. The real name of the cobblestone road is La Drève des Boules d’Hérin and it is 2.4 kilometers long. The name of the cobbled section in the race is Trouée d’Arenberg. Wikipedia
